What Are The Odds

Probability Versus Odds

While in conversation the other day, a friend ask me “what are the odds that all of the current social/political events could be wrapped up into a time frame of just 3-4 years?”

Pandemic, Murder Hornets, Racial Justice Riots, Monkey Pox, Aids cases rising again, Drag Queens reading and dancing for children, Astronomical spike in transgender kids, Explosive number of heart attacks in young people, and of course, to top it off like a desert, Alien sightings.

Pondering about this for a couple of days, I thought “what are the odds?” Would or could something like this play-out in a sports book in Las Vegas or any number of other casinos around the globe?

The more I pondered about the validity of such a statement/question, the more I wondered about what the statistics for a combination of such events would look like. Could there actually be statistics for such things as a whole? Well of course, there are statistics for everything.

To start things off, lets take a look at the COVID pandemic. As we all know, COVID started – or was released for public knowledge in 2019. We also know that nowhere on earth has there been a pandemic of such magnitude for a few hundred years and of course, no matter what a person might of died from, it was listed as COVID (hospitals got to get that money).

Previous pandemics resulting in 10,000 or more people being effected/dying were: Dengue Fever, Cholera, SARS, Avian Influenza A virus H5N1, Bubonic Plague, Swine Flu – Influenza A virus H1N1, Ebola, Yellow Fever, and COVID-19 – est 29.3 million deaths. Of course I wrote about the COVID situation many times, growing increasingly frustrated by the constant pounding of the mindless media drum. You can find a number of articles by typing in COVID in the search box of our site.

Next up. Lets take a look at the sudden heart failure issue that was finally brought to light. We know that an estimated 300,000 people suffer from cardiac arrest every year, but in this case, I think it was more about the “shock value” that made the major media squawk so much about it. Or it could have simply been because most of the effected people were sports figures or someone else with some kind of fame. I wrote about it here: The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Problem

Next on our list is: Murder Hornets. The Asian giant hornet – Vespa mandarinia – or northern giant hornet, including the color form referred to as the Japanese giant hornet, is the world’s largest hornet. It is native to temperate and tropical East Asia, South Asia, Mainland Southeast Asia, and parts of the Russian Far East. The species, first identified in 1852, is mainly feared for its capacity to wipe out honeybees. Despite the fact that the US is considered to be a temperate climate. It’s also known that the northern half of the US gets brutally cold during the winter, likely leading to the extinction of the murder hornet’s journey to/in the US.

Due to the excessive amounts of people travel and various migrations of people, it is not surprising that there were some found in the Northwest of the US. The Seattle area has long been a destination for many Asian countries. As always though, the mass media jumped on creating mass hysteria (shock value) to keep the general population in panic.

Next. Monkeypox. The monkeypox virus was discovered in Denmark in 1958 in monkeys kept for research and the first reported human case of mpox was a nine-month-old boy in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1970. Mpox can spread from person to person or occasionally from animals to people. From January through October 2022, 25 deaths have been reported. This hardly seems to warrant a mass hysteria, but if you give a major media company the slightest idea of how to create panic in the general population, then you have… You guessed it. Panic.

Next. Drag Queens. The first person known to describe himself as “the queen of drag” was William Dorsey Swann, born enslaved in Hancock, Maryland, who in the 1880’s started hosting drag balls in Washington, DC attended by other men who were formerly enslaved. The balls were often raided by the police, as documented in the newspapers. Since that time, it’s obvious that any/everybody around the world has seen what the self entitled “drag queen” has been up to and it doesn’t look good for them if it continues to encroach upon children. Having a “drag” show for grown adults for entertainment value is one thing, but when you involve children, you are asking for a serious fight.

Ttransgenderism (in our humble opinion) is a mental illness. It really is as simple as that. Again. If grown adults want to go through surgery to chop off their winners and attempt to grow breast, good for them. Time-n-time again, we hear “I wish I hadn’t done that.” Beginning with the early 1900’s when children with “ambiguous” sex first sought medical attention, to the 1930’s when transgender people began to seek out doctors involved in altering children’s sex, to the invention of the category gender, and finally the 1960’s and 1970’s when, as the field institutionalized, transgender.

We here feel that the transgender ideology is a screen for help. There are plenty of free mental health clinics and we here at VeryGood. Coffee would advise you to seek that help before reaching out to a doctor for transformation surgery.

Next! Alien Sightings. They happen about every three or four years. There have been plenty of sightings from commercial airline pilots that have many years of experience, so it’s not likely that they would say to themselves “gee. wonder if I can get fired today by creating mass hysteria.” This hysteria can only be summed-up  as a distraction for something that a government is or wants to do that they know, you, the general population would not approve of.

Well, there it is folks. A list of 99% of societies issued summed up.
