As with a lot of writers, we tend to eat mountains of whatever we can reach for without having to leave our chair. The same holds true for the coffee IV hanging out of our arm.
Unfortunately, this is not the best idea as the body really does need some foods/vitamins to function in a somewhat proper manner.
Blast! you say, but it is true that a simple pot (or 3) of coffee to get you kick-started so you can manage to find your way into the kitchen, just to open the fridge to say with exasperated tone “ick, no nothing. Not today satin food.”
It’s fundamentally known, that the psychology of food thought first thing in the morning is not an entertaining one, but after the pots of coffee, you have to break through that thought process to put some food on the table and actually eat it afterwards.
With that in mind, here is a fan favorite that we have here.
Eating a combination of eggs, pancakes, and drinking coffee can provide a variety of health benefits when consumed as part of a balanced diet. Here are some potential benefits of each component:
Health Benefits of Eggs:
Nutrient-Rich: Eggs are an excellent source of high-quality protein, vitamins (A, D, E, B-complex), and minerals (iron, zinc).
Choline: Eggs are one of the best dietary sources of choline, essential for brain health, cell membrane structure, and neurotransmitter synthesis.
Eye Health: Contain lutein and zeaxanthin, antioxidants beneficial for eye health and may reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration.
Heart Health: Contrary to past concerns, moderate egg consumption can improve cardiovascular health, increasing “good” HDL cholesterol levels.
Health Benefits of Pancakes (whole grain or healthier varieties):
Whole Grains: If made with whole grain flour, pancakes can provide dietary fiber, aiding digestion and promoting heart health.
Energy Source: Carbohydrates in pancakes provide energy, especially useful for morning meals or before physical activity.
Customization: Pancakes can be made with various ingredients like bananas, nuts, or berries, adding more nutrients and antioxidants to the meal.
Health Benefits of Coffee:
Antioxidants: Coffee is rich in antioxidants, such as chlorogenic acid, which may reduce inflammation and protect against chronic diseases.
Mental Alertness: Caffeine in coffee can improve cognitive function, including memory, focus, and alertness.
Physical Performance: Enhances physical performance by increasing adrenaline levels, mobilizing fatty acids, and improving endurance.
Mood Enhancement: Linked to a lower risk of depression and decreased risk of suicide due to its effect on neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine.
